Cupping
Cupping therapy is an alternative form of medicine that was developed in ancient China. It involves the usage of either special cups that create suction upon the body that helps relieve pain, inflammation, and stimulates blood flow. Inner Qi Wellness offers cupping with the choice of either glass or silicone cups; glass cups involve the use of a flame to create the suction required while silicone does not require heat to begin the suction process. Cupping is used by athletes such as Michael Phelps and is known for reducing injuries as well as a quick recovery from injuries.It may also leave marks due to the suction of the cups creating bruise-like circles on the treated area. Tui-Na
Tui-Na treatment is a hands-on body treatment that involves kneading, rolling, brushing, rubbing, and pressing between the body’s joints in order to open the eight gates that can release the body’s natural defensive chi as practiced by the ancient Chinese practitioners. Tui-Na allows for the energy to move freely within the muscles and can renew areas of acute pain or soreness. Cranial Sacral Massage 30 / 60 minute
This technique is a gentle, noninvasive form of massage that addresses the bones & muscles of the head, spinal column, & sacrum to help reduce stress & pain.
Cupping Massage 30-60 minute *depending on how many areas
Special cups are put on the skin in areas of concern for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation, & well-being, and is also a type of deep tissue.
Deep Tissue 30 / 60 / 90 minute
Involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to forget the inner layers of the muscles & connective tissue.
Lymphatic Drainage 60 minute
A gentle massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluid around the body. The lymph fluid helps the lymphatic system remove toxins from the tissues. Benefits people with lymphedema, fibromyalgia, etc.
Myofascial Therapy 30 minute
A manual therapy involving deep friction & stroking of the body’s fuscig to improve its ability to move & deform within the body. The aim is to eliminate pain, reduce structural imbalances, & ultimately improve functional ability.
Prenatal 60 / 90 minute
Therapeutic body work that focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. It enhances the function of muscles & joints, improves circulation & general body tone & also relieves mental fatigue. **second & third trimester of pregnancy
Sports Massage 30 / 60 / 90 minute
Performed over clothes. Technique targets deeper layers of muscle & connective tissue with tools, elbows, hands & other tools to target those areas of concern. Also helps to treat soft tissue aches, pain & injuries that are associated with recreational activities.
Stretching 30 minute
A technique utilized to increase range of motion & flexibility, by increasing the length of the muscle & increasing neuromuscular efficiency.
Swedish 60 / 90 minute
Designed to relax the entire body by rubbing the muscles in long, gliding stokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. It can help increase the level of oxygen.
TMJ 30 minute
TMJ massage works the muscles around the temporomandibular joint (jaw muscles) to help relieve pain & tension, sometimes includes intra-oral massage.
